Aupe Master Agreement

The collective agreement has expired and is being renegotiated by the Government of Alberta and the Alberta Union of Provincial Employees. Therefore, printed copies of the agreement are not currently distributed. You can view the agreement on the following pages. You will also find here a PDF of the full agreement. The framework contract between the Government of Alberta and the Alberta Union of Provincial Employees is a legally binding contract between the parties. It describes the terms and conditions of employment agreed by the parties and covers the agreed duration of the collective agreement. Ancillary agreements contain additional details specific to certain groups of employees. Looking for your collective agreement or the current minutes of the meeting? Look for a list of downloadable documents. Direct government employees (“general service”) in AUPE (unlike those in other sectors such as health or education services) are divided into several indigenous people on the basis of the “community of interest”. Local 002 includes employees in administrative and program services jobs. This includes most jobs requiring a university degree, with the exception of social workers who are at Local 006. Each general service room shall have a separate secondary agreement specific to the operation of that premises; Ancillary agreements shall include remuneration networks and lists of classifications set out in this Agreement. All members of the general service staff are subject to the same framework contract.

Together, the framework contract and the ancillary contract form the contract between the workers and the employer (the Government of Alberta). These are not considered “legal” copies of contracts/agreements. If you need additional information or a signed copy, send an email or call Labour Relations at 403-268-2236.
