Sourced entirely from Guarachi’s Meadowrock Estate, grapes for“G” have been meticulously hand-picked, hand-sorted and night-harvested from the finest 30-year old vines found on the property’s rich rocky earth. Meadowrock sits facing Southwest at an elevation of 1,400 to 1,760 feet- perched on Atlas Peak above the fog line that often blankets the valley below.

TASTING NOTES: This inky red 92% Cabernet, 6% Malbec, and 2% Petite Verdot is rich and ripe with concentrated black cherry, plums and sweet tobacco. Firm structure with vibrating acidity possesses a terrific richness and depth. Lingering fruit flavors and minerals allows a long lasting finish.

Julian Gonzalez, Chief Winemaker
Julian Gonzalez serves as lead winemaker for Guarachi Family Wines and caretaker to Guarachi’s Meadowrock estate (Atlas Peak AVA of Napa Valley) and Sun Chase Vineyard (Petaluma Gap AVA of Sonoma Coast).
Previously, Gonzalez was Lead Winemaker for all Paul Hobbs Consulting programs from 2007 to 2016. Prior to that, Gonzalez worked under winemaker and mentor, Rolando Herrera, at Mi Sueno, Argentina’s Vina Cobos and Paul Hobbs Winery in addition to working in the cellars at Stag’s Leap, Dominus Estate and Louis M. Martini Winery.
