MONTGRAS Ninquén 2012

MONTGRAS Ninquén 2012

From the top, things feel different. The proximity of the sky and stars…The intensity of the heat… The cool Pacific breeze … An amazing sensation of absolute freedom and dominion.

VARIETALS: 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 45% Syrah

APPELLATION: Colchagua Valley

AGING: Barrel-aged in French oak for 24 months.

ALCOHOL: 14.9 %

Deep and bright ruby-red colour. The nose reveals intense aromas of mature red fruits, with notes of cassis and sour cherry jam, surrounded by soft touches of coffee. This wine has great body in the mouth and a soft and elegant structure, with upfront flavours of berries, like raspberries and blueberries, accompanied by spicy notes. The tannins are ripe, rounded and firm, supporting a long and bright finish that maintains delicate notes of toast in the aftertaste.

Because of its structure and power, this is a wine that will pair well with marbled red meats, hard cheeses and in general, strongly flavoured food with some fat content.

MONTGRAS Ninquén 2012

Region: Chile

Brothers Hernán and Eduardo Gras, along with partner Christian Hartwig, set up the winery in 1993, combining state-of-the-art technology with the talent and passion of a very special group of people.

Hernán brought the substantial winemaking experience he had gained in Canada, while his brother, Eduardo and their friend Cristian Hartwig, contributed with their entrepreneurial vision and pragmatic business acumen. Their combination of skills and experience has enabled MontGras to become one of Chile’s foremost wine groups.

Today, we are one of the largest family-owned Chilean wineries, exporting to more than 30 countries worldwide.  With more than 25 years of existence in both the national and international markets, MontGras has been consistently ranked among the TOP 15 Wineries from Chile in the exports of bottled and packaged wine
